Wodencroft is a stretch of the River Tees running from below Wilden Beck down past the Balder confluence at Cotherstone, controlled by Cotherstone Fly Fishing Club and Wodencroft Holiday Cottages. Club members fish it, and guests staying at Wodencroft Holiday Cottages may fish free. Species include brown trout, grayling, salmon and sea trout. Night fishing is not published, so assume it is not permitted. It is fly-only game water.

Permits

Season Ticket £

Cotherstone Fly Fishing Club membership, due at the AGM each March: full, senior and associate £70, junior under 18 £15 (current club website). Full membership is for Cotherstone parish residents past or present; associate (non-voting) membership is open to others. New members must do a bank walk first. Salmon fishing for club members is on the Wodencroft water only.

Day Ticket £

Member-accompanied guest day tickets £10 (current club website). No public day tickets. Guests staying at Wodencroft Holiday Cottages fish free (the tariff on the cottages' website, which runs to January 2025, is £550 to £775 a week).

Night Fishing

Not published. Assume no night fishing unless the club confirms.
