Widdington is a stretch on the River Ouse, from the foot of the fish pass, Linton Weir to the notice board opposite Kyle Beck (Newton-on-Ouse), approximately 0.75 mi, controlled by York & District Amalgamation of Anglers (YDAA). Fishing is for members only, with no day tickets. Species include barbel, chub, dace, bream, pike and trout. Night fishing is not allowed.

Adult £49 renewal / £59 new (incl. £10 joining fee). Senior 65+ £32 renewal / £42 new. Junior 8-18 free with a family adult membership, otherwise £14. Disabled £30 (via Treasurer). Runs 1 Jan to 31 Dec, half price after 1 Oct. Holiday books: 7 days £22, 16 days £35. Game permit water: game permit holders only until 30 June (game permit £140, waiting list).

A59 towards Harrogate, right just past Skip Bridge Garage, second left past the winery to the T-junction, right, then left about half a mile before the house onto the track to Linton Weir. Park in the small area by the bungalow and walk downstream to the bottom of the fish ladder.
