Upper Teesdale North Bank is a stretch of the River Tees running from Cauldron Snout to Dent Bank above Middleton-in-Teesdale, controlled by Raby Estates. Permits are sold to the public by the day or the year. Species include brown trout, grayling and salmon. Night fishing is not permitted. It is fly-only game water.

Season Ticket £

2026 (Raby Estates ticket portal, Oct 2026): annual trout and grayling permit £125 adult, £113.75 concession; annual salmon, trout and grayling permit £150 adult, £136.50 concession.

Day Ticket £

2026 (Fishing Passport, checked Oct 2026): salmon full day £25, winter grayling full day £12. Up to 20 tickets a day. Raby also sells trout and grayling and salmon and trout day permits on its own ticket portal (price not shown until booking).

Night Fishing

Not permitted. Raby's permit terms say no fishing between 10pm and 6am.
