Sowley and Fiddleford is a stretch of the Dorset Stour running from Sowley to Wesper Brook, controlled by Sturminster and Hinton Angling Association. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include perch, roach, dace, bream, chub, pike, rudd, carp and tench. Night fishing is not permitted.

Season Ticket £

S&HAA annual membership: Adult £50, Concession (65+) £30, Junior (under 18) £10. Join or renew online via the club's Clubmate site. River season closed 15 March – 15 June inclusive.

Day Ticket £

Day tickets from £5.00 and week tickets £15.00, covering all S&HAA River Stour waters. Buy online via the club's Clubmate site before fishing.

Night Fishing

Fishing is allowed from sunrise to one hour after sunset on the River Stour — NO NIGHT FISHING. River season closed 15 March to 15 June inclusive.

Parking Information

The main car park at Fiddleford Manor — good free parking. Travelling north on the A350 from Blandford, continue through Shillingstone and after about 2 miles you reach a very sharp left-hand bend with the Fiddleford Inn on your right; continue about 300 yards and take the small lane on the right marked by an English Heritage sign to Fiddleford Manor. Continue down the uneven single-track road with care; the car park entrance is on the left. Sat nav DT10 2BX (latitude 50.921495, longitude -2.284392).
