Shillingstone is a stretch of the Dorset Stour running from Haywards Bridge to Footbridge (about 0.8 mi), controlled by Dorchester & District Angling Society. Fishing is for club members. Species include chub, dace, eel, grayling, gudgeon, perch, pike and roach. Night fishing is not permitted.

DDAS annual membership. Season 16 June to 14 March inclusive.

Day Ticket £

Not applicable — no day tickets. DDAS operate an exchange book system with S&HAA, Ilminster AA, Blandford & DAC, Gillingham & DAA and Glaston Manor AA, drawn from Dorchester Angling Centre or West Bay Watersports.

Night Fishing

Night fishing is not offered on the society's Stour waters.

Parking Information

Next to the gate 50 yards past the Child Okeford turning, or in the space in front of the pumping station 30 metres further on. Then walk up the road over the bridge, about 100 yards, and CLIMB OVER THE FENCE for north bank fishing. Alternative parking over the bridge 50 metres on the left (lay-by), or in the free car park before passing under the Trailway.
