Roecliffe Top is a stretch of the River Ure running from Cherry Island Wood to the top of Roecliffe Wood, controlled by Bradford City Angling Association. Fishing is for club members only. Species include chub and pike. Night fishing is not permitted.

2026 (1 Jan to 31 Dec): Adult £49, Concessionary £33, Junior (16 and under) free, Part Year £39.50 incl. joining fee. New members aged 17+ pay a £15 joining fee. Guest Day Permit £8 (member must accompany, book online).

Day Ticket £

No day tickets. Members only (members may bring a guest on an £8 Guest Day Permit).

Night Fishing

No. BCAA rules 43 and 5: no fishing between one hour after sunset and one hour before sunrise; night fishing only at Shipton and Staveley lakes and some Swale stretches.

On the grass verge on the north side of Roecliffe village by Old Chapel Cottage (YO51 9LY), not on the village green or Winn's Farm entrance; walk between the church and Winn's Farm then the public footpath to the river. Top end: room for 2 cars on the Bishop Monkton to Roecliffe road just after Westwick Lock Farm (OS grid SE 355 660), then the bridle path and a rough path down through the wood.
