Ripon Streams is a stretch of the River Ure running from Hutton Beck above North Bridge to about a mile below Hewick Bridge, controlled by Ripon Piscatorial Association. Day tickets and memberships are available. Species include chub, barbel, roach, dace, grayling, perch, pike, brown trout and salmon. Night fishing is not permitted.

Season Ticket £

Current RPA price list (membership year April to April; year not printed on the page): Adults (gents) £70 a year (£75 first year incl. access key and map book); ladies £35 (£40 first year); concessions (over 65s and blue badge holders) £35 (£40 first year); intermediate 18 to 21 £35; juniors 12 to 18 £15; under 12s free with an adult member. Keys £5.

Day Ticket £

£6 per day (not valid on Ure Bank Pond or Ripon Racecourse Lake). From AM Fly Tying (Ripon Market Square), Gills Autos (Ripon bypass), the White Horse pub in Ripon (day tickets only) or online via the club store.

Night Fishing

River rules limit fishing to two rods during daylight hours; night permits are sold for Ripon Racecourse lake only.

Peg 1 down to North Bridge: Ure Bank Pond car park (RPA key) or through the gate at the top of the field track. Mid section: end of the track to Ripon sewage works. Below Hewick Bridge: next to the Ripon Racecourse entrance on the Boroughbridge road.
