Red House (Middle section) is a stretch on the River Ouse, from the gate just downstream of the Barge to the dead 'Big Tree' below the sandbed, controlled by York & District Amalgamation of Anglers (YDAA). Day tickets and club membership are both available. Species include barbel, bream, roach, perch, carp and tench. Night fishing is allowed for members by prior arrangement.

Adult £49 renewal / £59 new (incl. £10 joining fee). Senior 65+ £32 renewal / £42 new. Junior 8-18 free with a family adult membership, otherwise £14. Disabled £30 (via Treasurer). Runs 1 Jan to 31 Dec, half price after 1 Oct. Holiday books: 7 days £22, 16 days £35.

Day Ticket £

£6 per day (YDAA standard day ticket).

Night Fishing

Members only, by prior arrangement. Notify the Treasurer by email or text (no calls) at least 24 hours before with name, membership number, car registration, venue and date. Max 24 hours, no return within 12 hours. No night fishing for juniors.

Parking Information

A59 towards Knaresborough, right after the double bend sign for Moor Monkton, first right into Red House Lane. Follow the private road past Red House Wood and park on the grass triangle before the Red House Manor entrance. Walk up the tarmac road, follow the permissive footpath to the river, turn downstream through the gate above the Barge into the paddock; the fishery starts at the next gate.
