Port Meadow is 440 acres of ancient common land on the east bank of the Thames from Wolvercote to Jericho. The fishing rights are owned by the Freemen of the City of Oxford (since the Domesday Book, 1086) and managed by ODAA. An ODAA season permit is required in addition to an EA rod licence. Species include Bream, Roach, Tench, Pike and Chub — Bream and Roach dominant, good Chub in winter.
