Poppleton is a stretch on the River Ouse, approximately 3 mi, controlled by York & District Amalgamation of Anglers (YDAA). Day tickets and club membership are both available. Species include roach, bream and perch. Night fishing is allowed by prior arrangement with the club.

Adult £49 renewal / £59 new (incl. £10 joining fee). Senior 65+ £32 renewal / £42 new. Junior 8-18 free with a family adult membership, otherwise £14. Disabled £30 (via Treasurer). Runs 1 Jan to 31 Dec, half price after 1 Oct. Holiday books: 7 days £22, 16 days £35.

Night Fishing

Allowed by prior arrangement via the YDAA Waters Secretary (YDAA Poppleton page). YDAA general night rules: members only, give at least 24 hours notice, max 24 hours, no juniors.

A59 to Knaresborough, right just after the garden centre after the ring road, right at the village green. Park on the left before the memorial, follow the track into the field to the white metal gate and walk upstream.
