The Piggeries

Peckingell to The Piggeries is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from the second concrete bridge at Peckingell to the Piggeries, controlled by Chippenham Angling Club. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include chub, barbel, roach, perch, dace, pike and bream. Night fishing is permitted.

Season Ticket £

2026-27 (16 Jun 2026 – 15 Jun 2027): Adult £55; Senior Citizen £40; Disabled £27; Junior £8 (under 16 at 16 June). Members aged 80+ can apply for 50% off the OAP rate. Includes limited exchange tickets (by email to the secretary) with Devizes, Calne, Warminster, South Cerney, Marlborough and Frome clubs.

Day Ticket £

2026-27: £7.50 day ticket, bought online via PayPal on the club Memberships page — enter the angler's name and the date you will fish; one person per ticket; print or keep the receipt. Check the fixture list first (match sections are closed on match days).

Night Fishing

Club rules do not ban adults from the river after dark: rule 8 says juniors may not fish club waters from one hour after sunset until one hour before dawn unless accompanied by an adult member over 21 (night bans are stated only for Pockeridge and Burbrook lakes). No separate night permit is mentioned — confirm with the club.

Parking only at Peckingell car park through the coded gate (no postcode; nearest SN15 3RL; track opposite a tight bend, then down the 'lob' track — bumpy, drive slowly). No access from the new road on the Peckingell (housing) side.
