Padworth Mill to Padworth Lane is a stretch of the River Kennet running from Padworth Mill to Padworth Lane road bridge, controlled by Central Association of London and Provincial Angling Clubs (CALPAC) and shared with Thatcham Angling Association. Fishing is for club members only. Species include chub, barbel, roach, dace, pike, perch, bream, brown trout and grayling. Night fishing is permitted.

CALPAC 2026-27 (membership 1 April to 31 March): Adult full £75 (includes a £10 surcharge refunded for attending an official work party); Family (2 adults + 2 juniors) £105; 65+ £40; Registered disabled £40; Juniors (18 and under on 16 June) £30; joining fee £25 (not for juniors). Night permit (Padworth) £43, or £90 for all night venues. 50% price from 1 November. Thatcham AA 2026-27 permits also cover this stretch: Senior Bronze £85 / Silver £125 / Gold £160; OAP/Disabled £50/£90/£125; Junior 13-15 £25/£65/£100; Junior 16-18 £35/£75/£110.

Day Ticket £

No day tickets; CALPAC says this is a members-only fishery. Thatcham AA members' guest pass £15 (day) or £25 (24 hours).

Night Fishing

CALPAC: night fishing for night permit holders only (Padworth night permit £43; full members 18+, numbers restricted). Others sunrise to 1 hour after sunset. Thatcham AA Silver/Gold tiers include a night permit.
