Oakwood Park is a stretch of the Dorset Stour running from Canford Bridge to Canford School, controlled by Wimborne and District Angling Club. Fishing is for club members. Species include roach, dace, chub, perch, pike, grayling and bleak. Night fishing is not permitted.

Night Fishing

No night fishing. Dogs and game fishing are both permitted here, which is unusual for the club's river beats. No bivvies; umbrellas only in poor weather. Close season enforced.

DOWNSTREAM ENTRANCE: leave Wimborne on the A349 Poole Road, passing over Canford Bridge, and park on the roadside in Oakley Lane. UPSTREAM ENTRANCE: proceed to the top of Oakley Hill and turn left into Oakley Lane by the Willett Arms public house; park in Oakley Lane just before Canford School, walk down the drive then left along the gravel track, past the boathouse, and enter through the gate on the right. No designated parking.
