Access is by club membership only, with no day tickets available. Species include Barbel, Chub, Carp, Pike, Bream, Tench.

Leave Long Eaton on A6005, head for Nottingham 7.2 miles. Turn left onto A6008 (Greyfriar Gate), continue past Broadmarsh Shopping Centre. Get in middle lane, follow signs for Trent Bridge. When road becomes Canal Street, move into middle lane before roundabout, follow signs for A612. After roundabout, turn right onto A612 (Fisher Gate) and head for Colwick. Continue on A612 Colwick Road for 2.5 miles past race course into Colwick. Turn right at sign for Colwick Park, right again to enter park. Follow road past Trout Lake on right until river visible on left, weir and lock gates. Car park on right. Leave car on foot, cross road, river immediately ahead. Turn downstream to where stream (the loop) runs into river. Cross bridge — club water continues downstream for 30 pegs. NOTE: You no longer need to wade to access this water — the loop has been bridged.
