Norton Conyers is a stretch of the River Ure running from below Bell Flask near Wath to below Nunwick above Ripon, controlled by Nidderdale Angling Club. Fishing is for Nidderdale AC members holding one of the club's two estate season tickets. Species include brown trout, grayling, chub, barbel and salmon. Night fishing is not permitted.

Three accesses from the A61 roundabout north of Ripon via Hutton Conyers: 1) Nunwick, gate on left by the Nunwick sign, park on the grass by the apple trees and walk across the paddock; 2) Plaster Pitts Farm track, 0.9 mi further towards Wath (4x4 recommended in the wet), through the gate over the flood bank; 3) Gravel works, turn left entering Wath signed Tanfield and Masham, 0.5 mi then left opposite a white house, 0.9 mi track, park left of the gravel works gates and walk to the river along the bank.
