Newbridge is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from one field above Newbridge to about two miles downstream, controlled by Bathampton Angling Association. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include bream, roach, chub and pike. Night fishing is permitted.

Season Ticket £

2026-27 (current tariff, checked October 2026; membership runs for 12 months from the date of payment): Adult £40; Junior (under 18) £15. Buy on the Clubmate app. Under-12s may fish free when accompanied by an adult member.

Day Ticket £

2026-27 (current price, checked October 2026): non-member 'Temporary Membership / Day Ticket' £9.50 for the River Avon from Newbridge to Saltford Marina (club Day Tickets page; the River Avon page still says £7). Buy on the Clubmate app before fishing, dated for the day fished. Free to members.

Night Fishing

River page: night fishing by written application to the Head Bailiff (members only); club rules: night fishing on the River Avon is allowed once a night permit has been obtained. (The river page also says 'NO NIGHT FISHING' in the paragraph about the WADAC Limpley Stoke access — that applies upstream.) Daylight opening hours are published monthly.

From Bristol on the A4: at the end of the dual carriageway take the left fork before the lights, cross Newbridge and park in the lay-by immediately after the bridge on the right. Walk back over the bridge on the footpath and over the stile down to the river.
