Cherry Tree Nursery has its own car park, but this is for customers only and is locked outside opening hours — not a general parking option. Stour Valley Nature Reserve, Northbourne roundabout (next to Cherry Tree Nursery): A newer, fairly large car park, rarely more than half full. Signed as locked at 20:00 but in practice this doesn’t seem to happen — don’t rely on the sign either way. Stour Valley Nature Reserve, Kingfisher Barn, off Muscliffe Lane: Gets busier in the daytime than the Northbourne car park. Reliably locked at 20:00 — be out in good time. Street parking is available just outside both of these car parks if either is full. Muscliffe Lane, next to The Epiphany School: Free parking, best used outside school run times (morning and afternoon). Reached via the Shelley Road cut-through. A good option for the lower section of the stretch. For the downstream end, Throop Road near the bend where it meets Muscliffe Lane has limited parking and a fair walk in via Watery Lane, near the Berry Hill sewage works. Kingfisher Barn is a similar distance to the downstream boundary and is the better option of the two.
