Matlock Bath Length is a stretch of the River Derwent, controlled by Matlock Angling Club. Fishing is for club members. Species include brown trout, grayling, chub, barbel, perch, dace, roach, bleak, minnow and carp. Night fishing is not permitted.

Matlock Angling Club membership, 1 Jan–31 Dec (page does not state the year): Senior (17+) £45; OAP (over 65) £20; OAP over 65 with 15+ years' membership before 65 £10; Junior (12–16) free (must still join and hold club booklet). No joining fee, no waiting list. Two-rod permit £5/yr (apply to D. Greatorex).

Night Fishing
No — club rule 5: fishing only between one hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset.
