Manor Field Claverton is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from the Island at Claverton to the second field above Bathford railway bridge, controlled by Bathampton Angling Association. Fishing is for club members. Species include pike, chub, roach, bream, perch and barbel. Night fishing is permitted.

2026-27 (current tariff, checked October 2026; membership runs for 12 months from the date of payment): Adult £40; Junior (under 18) £15. Buy on the Clubmate app. Under-12s may fish free when accompanied by an adult member.

Bathampton AA river page: night fishing by written application to the Head Bailiff (members only); club rules: night fishing on the River Avon is allowed once a night permit has been obtained. Otherwise daylight hours only (published monthly opening times).

Parking Information

Park in the long lay-by on the left just before Claverton (members must display a photocopy of their current card on the dashboard). Cross the canal bridge and the field to the bridge under the railway; the river is just beyond.
