Lower Christian Malford is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from the B4069 bridge at Christian Malford to about 1.5 miles downstream, controlled by Amalgamated Fisheries Ltd. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include barbel, chub, roach, bream, pike, tench, dace, perch and gudgeon. Night fishing is permitted.

Season Ticket £

2025-26 (latest published; permits valid until 1 June 2026): annual permit for all lakes and rivers £85; Senior (65+) £70. 2026-27 prices not yet published on the club's Join Us page (checked October 2026).

Day Ticket £

2025-26 (latest published): day permit £8 from the permit agents before fishing — not sold on the bank. Valid on all AFL venues except Tockenham Reservoir and the Swineford/Crane/Jack White's stretch.

Night Fishing

Night fishing only for holders of an AFL night permit (annual permit holders only, limited number, subject to committee approval; £85 for all lakes and rivers excluding Shackells and the Swineford/Crane stretch; apply to the Fisheries Administrator on the form linked from the Join page). Night fishing is not allowed on a standard card.
