Long Meadow Claverton is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from the railway crossing at the end of Ferry Lane to the end of the Long Meadow field, controlled by Bathampton Angling Association. Fishing is for club members. Species include roach, chub, bream, barbel, pike and perch. Night fishing is permitted.

Bathampton AA river page: night fishing by written application to the Head Bailiff (members only); club rules: night fishing on the River Avon is allowed once a night permit has been obtained. Otherwise daylight hours only (published monthly opening times).

A36 from Bath to Claverton; turn left into Ferry Lane, go over the canal and park with care (narrow lane — do not obstruct). Cross the railway at the designated pedestrian crossing and turn right into the field alongside the railway.
