Long Bennington (Downstream of the Village) is a members-only stretch of the River Witham running from below the shared Newark and Scunthorpe fields down to just before the Westborough road bridge, controlled by Grantham Angling Association. Access is from the upstream end only. Fishing is for club members; there are no day tickets. It holds a general mix of coarse fish. Night fishing is not permitted.

Season Ticket £
Grantham Angling Association membership, season 1 April to 31 March. 2026/27 prices: adult £30, senior (66+) £15, junior (14-16) £5, concession £15. Adult membership from age 17. Witham coarse closed season 15 March to 16 June.
Day Ticket £
No day tickets. Grantham Angling Association waters are members only.
Night Fishing
Night fishing is not permitted. Fishing is in daylight hours only and anglers must be off the landowner's land after dark.

Parking Information
Access is from the upstream (village) end only; there is no access from the Westborough road bridge end. The club map also marks parking off Bennington Lane and by the sewage works on the Westborough road.
