Two combined PAAS waters forming a continuous stretch of well over 3 miles between Offa's Dyke and The Breiddens, off the beaten track in an attractive stretch of the Welsh Borders with plenty of bird and animal life. 15–20 yards wide, full of bends and horseshoes, lying between Offa's Dyke and maintained levees. Open and devoid of trees, though shrubs and nettles can hamper access; high banks demand care in wet weather. Good streamer weed beds in summer. A fair salmon length with good pools on the bends; coarse fishing is good and underused, suiting a roving approach over sitting one swim. Minnows can be a summer nuisance.

Parking Information
Most direct via A483 Oswestry-Welshpool — at Four Crosses take B4393 to Llandrinio and the bridge. Bottom car park on the far (east) side of the bridge, right of the road (PAAS key required). Back Lane, a short distance further on the right, parallels the whole length. From Shrewsbury via A458, fork right onto B4393 just past Ford, left onto Back Lane short of the bridge. Entire stretch is right-bank fishing, several further car parks along the length. Going upstream: first at Lower Farm (~1 mile, lane right to the farm, park before the gate, foot access only along the marked path); a further half mile, a byroad left leads to a track right for Severn House and the river (do not pass the farmhouse or enter the farmyard at Severn House by car or foot). Reverse-direction access via A458 Welshpool-Shrewsbury: 3 miles from the roundabout north of Welshpool, a telephone box marks the by-road turn-off north; take the first of two close tracks to the car park areas.
