Lacock Abbey Fields is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from Lacock Bridge to three fields upstream, controlled by Amalgamated Fisheries Ltd. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include barbel, bream, chub, roach, dace, perch and gudgeon. Night fishing is permitted.

Permits

Season Ticket £

2025-26 (latest published; permits valid until 1 June 2026): annual permit for all lakes and rivers £85; Senior (65+) £70. 2026-27 prices not yet published on the club's Join Us page (checked October 2026).

Day Ticket £

2025-26 (latest published): day permit £8 from the permit agents before fishing — not sold on the bank. Valid on all AFL venues except Tockenham Reservoir and the Swineford/Crane/Jack White's stretch.

Night Fishing

Club page: "Night fishing by permit only." Night fishing only for annual permit holders who also hold a Night Permit (£85 2025-26; limited numbers; Committee approval; application form on the Join Us page). Standard membership cards do not allow night fishing.

Parking Information

Use postcode SN15 2LG. Park in the public car park behind the Red Lion on the High Street in Lacock village (do not park near Lacock Bridge or on verges; the tourist car park on Bowden Hill Road is locked at night and opens around 10am). Walk past the Abbey entrance; about 50 m on go through the wooden farm gate marked "No Entry to Lacock Abbey" to reach the river.
