Kyme Eau at South Kyme is free fishing along the road through the village, on the lower River Slea before it joins the Witham at Chapel Hill. No permit is needed beyond a valid Environment Agency rod licence. Roach and chub have recovered well; it gets very weedy in summer, so most regulars wait for winter. There is no fishing at the Sleaford end of the river, from Carre Street to the A17.
