4 miles of wholly right-bank fishing on the River Severn at the Isle Estate, 3–4 miles north-west of Shrewsbury — a steady, continuous flow 25–30 yards wide, with wide shallow runs, long slow pools, and everything in between. Bank conditions vary with farming — good where cattle graze, heavily overgrown in arable stretches, heavily treed in places. Heavy summer weed in the shallows. Limits clearly shown at field boundaries. Also includes access to Isle Lake (Water 198) on the same estate.

Parking

Parking Information
3–4 miles NW of Shrewsbury. A458 from the town centre, fork right at Shelton onto B4380, follow ~1 mile to the Four Crosses crossroads/pub, right down Isle Lane. Follow to the large stone gate posts marking the estate entrance (note speed limits/bumps). Just before the Hall, at a Lodge, the track forks — right for the Isle Water; at the next fork, a car park for the Lake (100 yards further on). Members may drive onto the Lake to drop off tackle, then return to this car park. Continuing past the car park and the Lake reaches the furthest parking place near the river, for the lower reaches — stop past the farm buildings near the gate and follow the track to the river. If the track ahead is followed instead of forking right at the Lodge, this reaches the Hall Farm car park, for the upper reaches — stop by the old Moat (PAAS signposted). PAAS key needed for the river gate. PAAS lavatory at the Lake.
