Hammoon Bridge

Hammoon is a stretch of the Dorset Stour running from Wesper Brook to Hammoon Bridge, controlled by Sturminster and Hinton Angling Association. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include chub, perch, pike, roach, rudd and tench. Night fishing is not permitted.

Season Ticket £

S&HAA annual membership: Adult £50, Concession (65+) £30, Junior (under 18) £10. Join or renew online via the club's Clubmate site. River season closed 15 March – 15 June inclusive.

Day Ticket £

Day tickets from £5.00 and week tickets £15.00, covering all S&HAA River Stour waters. Buy online via the club's Clubmate site before fishing.

Night Fishing

Fishing is allowed from sunrise to one hour after sunset on the River Stour — NO NIGHT FISHING. River season closed 15 March to 15 June inclusive.

Parking Information

From the south on the A350, drive through Shillingstone and continue about a mile and a half. The lane to Hammoon is on the right, nearly opposite the LH turning to Okeford Fitzpaine. Turn in and drive with care — the road is narrow with tight bends. Just before entering Hammoon village you will see the entrance to a road marked private, no vehicular access; turn into this lane and proceed about a quarter of a mile to a newly built farmhouse on the left. Limited parking on the verge on the right near the farm entrance. Sat nav DT10 2DA.
