Eggleston Burn

Eggleston Water is a stretch of the River Tees running from just below Middleton-in-Teesdale to Eggleston Burn, controlled by Darlington Brown Trout Angling Association. Members fish it and day tickets are sold through Fishing Passport. Species include brown trout, grayling and salmon. Night fishing is not published, so assume it is not permitted. It is fly-only game water.

Darlington Brown Trout Angling Association membership, January to January. 2026: senior £55 plus £12 ATDAC (£67), lady £29 plus £6 (£35), junior under 18 £19 plus £6 (£25), OAP £29 plus £6 (£35), OAP with 10+ years' membership £25. New members also pay a joining fee (£20 aged 18 to 65, £10 OAP and ladies, free under 18). Membership is capped at 550 and every member must also join ATDAC. 2026 membership closes on 31 July; 2027 membership opens on 1 January 2027.

Day Ticket £

2026 (Fishing Passport, checked Oct 2026): salmon full day £20, trout full day £14, winter grayling full day £8. Up to 4 tickets a day.

Night Fishing

Not published. Assume no night fishing unless the club confirms.
