Colber is a stretch of the Dorset Stour running from Upper Colber to Durrant, controlled by Sturminster and Hinton Angling Association. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include roach, dace, perch, bream, chub, pike and eel. Night fishing is not permitted.

S&HAA annual membership: Adult £50, Concession (65+) £30, Junior (under 18) £10. Join or renew online via the club's Clubmate site. River season closed 15 March – 15 June inclusive.

Day Ticket £

Day tickets from £5.00 and week tickets £15.00, covering all S&HAA River Stour waters. Buy online via the club's Clubmate site before fishing.

Night Fishing

Fishing is allowed from sunrise to one hour after sunset on the River Stour — NO NIGHT FISHING. River season closed 15 March to 15 June inclusive.

Parking Information

The public car park at the end of Ricketts Lane, adjacent to Sturminster recreation ground — free, about 30 spaces. Approaching from the A357, Ricketts Lane is about a third of a mile from the Bridge Street traffic lights on the left; it is a small, narrow entrance about 30 yards past the fish and chip shop. Sat nav DT10 1BY.
