To
Downstream limit at the confluence with the Harley BrookStretch Distance: Just over 1 mile (two waters combined, separated by a small stream)

Two combined PAAS waters at Cressage — just over a mile of right-bank fishing, 40–50 yards wide, separated by a small stream. Unobstructed bankside with swims cut by PAAS between trees and bushes. Large areas of gravel bottom and abundant streamer weed, deeper downstream than up. A fair salmon length with a noted pool at the downstream end, though catches have declined as elsewhere on the Severn. An outstanding barbel water with large catches taken regularly; the Severn Meadow beat holds fewer barbel but of larger than average size. Not noted for trout.

Parking

Parking Information
Church Farm off the A458 Shrewsbury-Much Wenlock road at Cressage — at the Cressage crossroads, by-road ahead for Sheinton, about a mile to a stream crossing, left onto a farm track past a white house (key required), car park 100 yards further on the left, room for 15–20 cars. For the mid-point of both beats, gravel track over the old railway (close all gates) to the upstream limit where a small stream enters the river — the length runs through two fields, downstream limit at the Harley Brook confluence. For the upper limit of Severn Meadow, parking near the Sewage Works, adjacent to a permanent caravan site — walk past the caravan site entrance, through the gate, follow the field edge to the river. Right of way through this car park into the next field, which must be kept clear at all times — parking for 6 cars. From Telford: A5223/A4169 to the outskirts of Much Wenlock, back right about 2.5 miles from Buildwas by a quarry, onto the Sheinton by-road.
