Church Deeps is a stretch on the River Ribble from Ribbleside Farm to Melling's Wood, controlled by Southport & District Angling Association. Day tickets are available: Ribbleside Farm sells a maximum of two day tickets per day, first-come first-served, no reservations. National close season applies (15 March–15 June). Species include Barbel, Bream, Pike, Carp, Roach, Dace, Chub, Perch, Eel, Gudgeon. Night fishing is not permitted.

Full Southport & District Angling Association membership - see sdaa.org.uk. Access to the Ribble waters is by SDAA key issued with membership. No day tickets except the limited allocation at Ribbleside Farm.

Day Ticket £

Membership only for the great majority of this water. The sole exception: Ribbleside Farm sells a maximum of two day tickets per day, first-come first-served, no reservations, cash, honesty-box system. National close season applies (15 March-15 June). Day tickets are NOT available via the Church Brow gates access point - that access is members-only, SDAA key required.

Night Fishing

NOT PERMITTED. SDAA state plainly: fishing is dawn till dusk only, no night fishing.

Ribbleside Farm, accessed from Cuerdale Lane - GBP 2 parking charge, payable BEFORE fishing on an honesty system: enter your details in the book inside the barn (clearly signed) and put the fee in the coin box. Farm entrance: margin.battle.breath. Farm parking area: music.squad.inform. SECOND ACCESS POINT: Roadside parking on Church Brow, with steps down to the water's edge - steep bank, travel light. Two gates give access: the bottom gate (spoil.rinse.agrees) and the Scout Hut gate (spider.wages.goal). SDAA key required for both gates.
