Canford Weir is a stretch of the Dorset Stour running from Baileys, Purchases and Chissels to Christchurch sign, controlled by Wimborne and District Angling Club. Fishing is for club members. Species include barbel, chub, bream, roach and brown trout. Night fishing is permitted.

Park as for Oakwood Park — roadside in Oakley Lane, or in Oakley Lane just before Canford School. NO parking within the school grounds and no access to the school. For the northern bank, cross the pedestrian suspension bridge.
