A near-2-mile stretch of the River Severn at Buildwas, Shropshire, PAAS Water No. 169 — six fields with varied character, from deep water and gravels at the lower end (good cover, high banks, 12–15 cut swims) to open, low-bank fast gravel runs at the top, noted for early-season barbel. Chub abound at the lower end; dace, roach, perch, and pike throughout, with a few bream in deeper water. A fair salmon stretch in good run years, with some fishable fly water — though worm, prawn, and spinning are typically more effective. Brown trout only occasionally caught.
