Blackwell Pumping Station

Blackwell is a stretch of the River Tees running from Blackwell Bridge to Blackwell Pumping Station, controlled by Darlington Anglers Club. Access is from the club car park at Blackwell Allotments off the A66; members fish it and the club sells river day tickets. Species include brown trout, grayling, dace, chub, barbel, pike, salmon and sea trout. Night fishing is not published, so assume it is not permitted.

Darlington Anglers Club membership, 1 January to 31 December. 2026: full £76, OAP £46, OAP with 10 years' membership £26, Blue Badge holders £46, age 16 to 21 £11, juniors free. 2027 (renewals through Clubmate only): adult £80, OAP and Blue Badge £50, OAP with 10 years' membership £30, age 19 to 21 £50, age 16 to 18 £15, juniors free. Salmon fishing needs a free special permit from the Hon. Secretary.

Day Ticket £

The club sells day tickets for its river water only, through its Clubmate booking page; prices are shown only after registering. Needs verification.

Night Fishing

Not published. The club rules give no night-fishing rule. Assume no night fishing unless the club confirms.
