Bathford Candy's is a stretch of the Bristol Avon running from one field below Bathford railway bridge to Bathampton Toll Bridge, controlled by Amalgamated Fisheries Ltd. Day tickets are available, so you do not need to be a member to fish here. Species include pike, chub, roach, bream, perch and barbel. Night fishing is permitted.

Season Ticket £

2025-26 (latest published; permits valid until 1 June 2026): annual permit for all lakes and rivers £85; Senior (65+) £70. 2026-27 prices not yet published on the club's Join Us page (checked October 2026).

Day Ticket £

2025-26 (latest published): day permit £8 from the permit agents before fishing — not sold on the bank. Valid on all AFL venues except Tockenham Reservoir and the Swineford/Crane/Jack White's stretch.

Night Fishing

Night Permit holders only: AFL night permits (£85 in 2025-26; annual permit holders only; limited numbers; Committee approval; apply to the Fisheries Administrator) cover all AFL lakes and rivers except Shackells Lake and the Swineford/Crane/Jack White's stretch. Standard cards do not allow night fishing.

From Bath take the A4 towards Chippenham; at the Batheaston bypass roundabout take the old A4 into Batheaston; just past the Wagon & Horses turn right onto Toll Bridge Road, cross the toll bridge (50p) and park on the left just after the bridge opposite Bathampton Mill; if full park just inside the Mill car park.
