Birmingham AA's Aberbechan and Penarth water, over a mile of left bank from Penarth Weir down to the Plant Yard and Bechan Brook section, reached along the canal towpath. Many salmon are caught each year (all must be returned — NRW byelaw). Members only — annual membership £50. Species include Salmon, Dace, Chub, Pike, Trout, Grayling and Barbel. No night fishing.
